Accessibility at Accolgo
Statement written 25 October 2026.
What we aim for
We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.2 AA. We have not shown that Accolgo meets it. This page says what we have tested, what we found, and what we know does not work yet.
What we tested
Automated scan. We ran the axe-core accessibility checker on 23 public pages, using its rules for WCAG 2.0 and 2.1, levels A and AA. It found no critical or serious problems on any of them.
Keyboard-only walk. On 25 October 2026 we went through the pages below using the keyboard alone, in a real browser. For each page we checked that:
- every visible link, button and form control can be reached with the Tab key
- keyboard focus is visible on every control (the control's outline or colour changes when it takes focus)
- focus never gets stuck: Tab always leads on and out of the page
- the menus that open from a button close again with the Escape key and return focus to that button
- every form control has a name a screen reader can read
- each page has one main heading and a main content area
Public pages: /, /login, /signup, /pricing, /how-it-works, /demo, /accessibility.
Signed in as a head of people: /hr-board, /hr-board/report, /hr-board/roi, /people, /people/team, /people/new, /people/import, a new starter's page under /dashboard, a new starter's record under /people.
Signed in as a line manager: /dashboard, a new starter's page under /dashboard, the catch-up page under /dashboard.
Signed in as a people administrator: /people.
We repeated the walk at phone width (390 pixels) on: /, /login, /signup, /pricing, /how-it-works, /demo, /hr-board, /hr-board/report, /people, /people/new, a new starter's page under /dashboard, /dashboard (as a line manager).
We also walked the emailed check-in form with the keyboard alone, on a computer screen and at phone width: Tab order, every question a labelled group of radio buttons that the arrow keys move through, all four questions answered by keyboard, the form sent with the Enter key, and the thank-you page that follows. Focus was visible throughout and nothing trapped it.
On the first run, the home page, sign-in, sign-up, pricing and how-it-works pages (and the About, Security and Contact pages) had no main content area marked up, which makes it harder for keyboard and screen-reader users to skip to the content. This was fixed the same day.
What we know does not work yet, or was not tested
- Most page titles are only the product name ("Accolgo"), so a person with several tabs open, or using a screen reader, cannot tell pages apart by title. This was found on the home page, sign-in, sign-up, pricing, interactive demo, and every signed-in page we walked. It is not fixed yet.
- The automated scan covers public pages only, and uses the rules for WCAG 2.0 and 2.1. It does not test the signed-in pages, and it does not test the criteria that are new in WCAG 2.2.
- The keyboard walk covered the pages listed above and the check-in form described above. It did not cover the billing pages or the pages used to set up a company's account.
- The keyboard walk was done in one browser (Chromium, driven by an automated script). It has not been repeated in Safari or Firefox.
- This statement does not rest on any test with a screen reader (such as NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver) or on testing by disabled people. Automated tests find only some problems.
- The check-in walk covered a first check-in as a new starter sees it (four multiple-choice questions, then the thank-you page). Any extra questions that appear only after certain answers, any other version of the form, and the "link expired" and "link unavailable" pages were not walked.
